If you could see the Silver Bow Creek restoration taking place in Durant Canyon YOU WOULD BE BLOWN AWAY by how cool it is. But you can’t see it. It’ll be completed in late 2016 or in 2017.
TU Chapter Presidents from all over Montana came to Butte for a tour on a recent Saturday afternoon.
The restoration is a jaw dropping beautiful fishery that will bring these Chapter Presidents and their familiy back to our community for years to come.
The fish barrier was working great as we watched non native trout trying to get over the dam and up the river to where the West Slope Cutthroats are making a come back to re-populate the rivers and streams in and around Silver Bow Creek.
WE’RE GETTING OUR HABITAT BACK.
It’s a great example of what good work can be done when folks get together for a common goal.
IT’S FOR THE FISH!!
